People's Court
As the Occupy movement gains a voice in our media and government one particular moment has been under appreciated. A couple of weeks ago Cornell West facilitated a trial of Goldman Sachs in Zuccotti Park. While this action staged early in the movement may have little implication it can serve as a model and a way to send a message. If Occupy camps around the country were to follow suit a powerful message could be sent to our government. Mock trials around the country would be a way to target the 1% and their representatives.Building a case against a ceo or politician and putting them on trial would be a way to educate people on the illegal or unethical actions of our ruling class and get a discussion going on the way to approach accountability.Mass trials would let the government know we expect serious, and transparent investigations and that the 99% is coming for you.We expect policy and actions that benefit the whole country and will not tolerate protection of the rich.

Yes! The guy who facilitated the training for the observers for Occupy Portland is an attorney. I think it's worthwhile to have this conversation with him. I have his name and number if you're interested, and I believe Richrd also has it.
